Hindu ayyaraka matrimonial Patrudu is a kshatriya community of Andhra Pradesh who live principally in the districts of Visakhapatnam and Vijayanagaram, while a few are distributed in the district of Srikakulam. The name is derived from aiyya bride and groom are rikam, meaning a distinguished person. Patrudu means a person worthy or fit for praise. Hindu ayyaraka marriage patrulu are separated into suryavanshis and nagavanshis.The two gotras which go under Suryavanshi are kasyapa and kurma gotras. Naganavanshi incorporates just a single gotra to be specific naga gotra. Each gotra is additionally isolated into exogamous genealogies (intiperlu). Kantreddi, Lanka, Pediredla, Karri are a portion of the exogamous genealogies.
